I’m fond of ladybugs… They don’t look scary or icky because unlike other plain-colored insects, they have bright colors and distinct black dots. So I started collecting things that have ladybug designs since 2006. Below are some of my ladybug collections.
I also researched about them and found out that they are really harmless insects. They don’t bite like most insect do. They just eat plant pest like aphids. Then I came to read about how they got their name. The story goes like this, once there were farmers who had problems about pest destroying their crops. So they prayed to Our Lady Mama Mary and the beautiful dotted bugs came and ate the pests. They name the bugs “Our Lady’s bugs” and later became “Ladybugs”.
